Farmers Market

Join use Thursday August 25th for our farmers market feature Harker Family Farms!  They accept major credit cards as well!

Joe and Debbie Harker bought the current farm in 1976 and have sold sweet corn since. In 2009, they started planting an orchard and added  other vegetables to heir offerings at their farm stand and farmers markets. They now have over 1500 fruit trees, with many varieties of peaches, nectarines, apples, and plums. Peaches and sweet corn are their specialties, and they often hear that they are the best in the area. While other orchards have apples and peaches, many do not have some of the special varieties that they offer such as nectarines, plums and donut peaches. They have some of the most popular varieties of apples, including Honeycrisp and Gala, as well as newer varieties that are not available in grocery stores.

Some of the produce they plan to bring to the market this summer:

Garden vegetables: Sweet corn,

tomatoes, zucchini, cucumbers

and other garden produce

Fruits: peaches, white peaches,

nectarines, plums, apples,

blackberries, gooseberries
